What’s a Podcast?

So, does the term “podcast” make you shake in bewilderment? Are you afraid that you are quickly drowning in a sea of technological doo-hickeys and who-ha? Are you unable to use Wikipedia to answer your questions? Even worse, do you not know what wikipedia is? Well, this little refresher should bring you up to speed. A podcast is nothing more than a downloadable audio or video file that is automatically delivered to your computer via a program called an “aggregator”. It’s like a free radio show that you can download and listen to whenever you want. One of the most popular podcast aggregator programs is Apple’s iTunes. You do not need an iPod or portable music player to listen to a podcast… just a computer and speakers! So, if you are reading this page, you probably meet all the requirements to listen or watch.

Worst Movie Ever! is offered to you in a number of ways. You can download each week’s show straight from the main home page. You can also use the above-mentioned iTunes software or any other podcast aggregator to automatically receive each week’s show on your computer. To do this, you must “subscribe” to the show, using one of the various “feeds” conveniently found at the bottom of each post. Or, if that seems hard, just look us up on the iTunes music store. It will subscribe to the feed automatically.
